The Master Patch Guide Search Tables!

Using the unique Master Patch Guide search capability,you can search for insignia in many ways.

You can search by:


Name – you can type the initial abreviation such as ARTBDE for an artillery brigade unit, and then utilizing the drop down menu complete the search



Physical Appearance – You can search by Outer Shape, Border Color, Background Color, and Object Color utilizing the drop doen menus to complete the search



Organization – you can search by Branch, Structure, Unit Type, and Unit Number utilizing the drop down menus to complete the search


As each criteria is selected, the subsequent available critera are limited to the patch specific criteria options applicable. This provides a unique and efficient search and identification system.

NOTE: Although units that have been redesignated are generally included with each re-designated title, in the case of Infantry Divisions (designated in the Patch Codes as INFDIV) the numerous redesignations have not been included as separate units in the database records or Image Folder. Thus, for the Infantry Divisions (the usually considered affiliation of Divisions other than Armored Divisions and Cavalry Divisions) the designations as Division, Division [Training], Division [Training Support], Division [Exercise], Division [Mechanized], Division [Medium], Division [Light Infantry], Motorized Division, Training Division, Division [Intuitional Training], etc., are not multi–listed. For example the Airborne Divisions are listed as INFDIV101ABN, and the 10th Mountain Division as INFDIV010MTN. For those units that have TIOH descriptions these redesignations are noted in the text. Redesignations such as for a Brigade, Command Headquarters, ARCOM, Maneuver Area Command, Regional Support Command, Regional Readiness Command, Sustainment Command or Brigade, etc., are noted separately with appropriate period SSI image displayed.
